Demographics and Retention

The U.S. News & World Report rankings recognize Hampden-Sydney College's steady and sustained improvement, moving up three slots in the ranking to 105. The College's "Overall Score," which reflects a combination of factors including peer assessment, has risen from 49 (out of 100) in 2003 to 53 this year. The freshman in the top 10% of their graduating class has increased  from 8% to 12%, and the graduation rate has risen from 61% to 63.4%.
