President's Council

The President’s Council provides a forum for Hampden-Sydney College Directors/Senior Managers to meet with one another and the College President semi-annually and/or as needed. The Council will serve as the venue for announcements;  discussion about policy, practices and procedures;  analysis of institutional data and trends;  a review of higher education challenges and their effect on Hampden-Sydney College;  and an arena in which to make recommendations, receive suggestions, consider opportunities, and study issues.  

The President’s Council will consist of the following 35 representatives:

The regular schedule will be established by the Vice President for Strategy, Administration, and Board Affairs, and will be distributed to the College community prior to the beginning of the fiscal year.  It will be confirmed on a regular basis.  Minutes of the College Council will be recorded and posted on the College’s web site.  The President will convene and chair the President’s Council.  In the absence of the President, one of the Vice Presidents will be appointed to convene and chair the meeting.
