Coordinator and Academic Advisor: Rev. Dr. David Keck, College Chaplain
This Living and Learning Community is for students who love to hike, hunt, or fish, or simply love being outside. Students will be enrolled in a 1-credit hour reading seminar taught by Rev. Dr. Keck discussing Wilderness and the American Mind, by Roderick Frazier Nash. In the classroom they will examine brief readings about the idea of the wilderness and the outdoors and the way people have related to it at different times in human history. Outside of class, they will have the opportunity to learn about and visit local areas for outdoor recreation, and to meet others in community who are experts in the area.
