The National Communication Association is the oldest and largest national organization to promote communication scholarship and education. The purpose of the association is to promote the study, criticism, research, teaching, and application of the artistic, humanistic, and scientific principles of communication. NCA publishes 10 academic journals,each of which focuses on a particular aspect of communication. The website offers students and faculty a wealth of information and numerous resources related to communication in general and public speaking in particular.
