Many students have a strong desire to engage with their communities through service and volunteerism. In this Living and Learning Community, students will have the chance to explore service opportunities in the Prince Edward County area, and to work together on service projects on- and off-campus. Students will be enrolled together in a one-credit hour seminar where we will investigate what kinds of people volunteer, the benefits of volunteerism, and the ways in which organizations can increase the willingness of community members to participate. This Community is mean for those who've been active in their community and want to continue to serve in their new "home away from home" or who are interested in thinking more about how volunteerism can make a "good man".
