Coordinator and Academic Advisor: Professor Pam Fox, Professor of Visual Arts
This Community is ideal for anyone who wants to develop creativity and visual communication techniques. You do not need an arts background; you do need an open mind and a willingness to experiment and to work with your hands. In this Community, students will get to explore the ways in which we can use traditional arts materials and computers to create solutions to visual assignments and problems. Students will be enrolled together in Color and Two-Dimensional Design, a foundation-level studio arts course that also satisfies the College's core requirement in Fine Arts. Outside of class we will attend dinners and lectures, visit galleries, and take field trips to Visual Arts venues.
