We hold all of our students to the same professional standards as you would find outside of Hampden-Sydney. An appointment or RSVP is a non-verbal commitment, and we take them seriously.
If it is necessary to cancel any appointment with a Career Coach, interview (phone, Skype, on-campus, etc.), and/or any other Career Education sponsored event that requires an RSVP, please do so as soon as possible, and within at least 24 hours. Appointment and interview spots are in high demand, and your early cancellation will give other students the opportunity.
To cancel an appointment, interview, or decline an invitation to a Career Education sponsored event after the registration deadline has passed, call (434) 223-6106, or visit the Career Education Office in Bagby 209.
Not showing up for a scheduled appointment, interview coordinated by Career Education staff, or a Career Education event that requires an RSVP, is a failure to honor your commitment, and reflects poorly on your reputation.
In the event of multiple late cancellations or no-shows you will forfeit your interviewing privileges through Career Education, and waive your right to participate in any Career Education sponsored event, workshop, or one-on-one career counseling. In addition, your access to TigerConnections, our online job and internship board, will be disabled until the following criteria are satisfied.
