Senior To Do List
- Obligations of Students: exit interview, business office and/or financial aid closure, and room check out
- Diplomas are issued by the Registrar's Office. Contact Dawn Congleton at (434) 223-6203 with any questions. Any senior who believes he may be in danger of not graduating should check with the Registrar's Office. Diploma frames are available in the Online Bookstore. - Caps and Gowns are provided by the College through student fees. Students who do not yet have a cap and gown should contact Norma Kernodle at (434) 223-6114.
- Processional Graduating seniors must be present at 9:00 a.m. SHARP on May 12 at the Bell Tower (if inclement weather, on the Ground Floor of Kirby Field House behind the visiting bleachers) to assemble in the proper order for the graduation ceremony. Seniors must have a cap and gown; the tassel should hang on the right. Graduates will form a double line in alphabetical order--B.A. recipients in the first group, B.S. recipients in the second. The procession will move from the Bell Tower onto the walkway from Morton Hall to Venable Hall.
- Senior Class Gift Each year the senior class presents a gift to the College. The Class of 2013 is designating their senior gift to an annual scholarship in honor of Thomas H. Shomo '69. The goals are to raise $5,000 and establish an annual scholarship for a student with excellent academic standing and with financial needs. All seniors are encouraged to participate. If you have not yet given to the Senior Class Gift but would like to, please contact Connor A. Rund '13, Senior Campaign Chairman or Spencer Conover '10 Assistant Director of Annual Giving. You may also use the online gift form and designate it to the annual scholarship in honor of Thomas H. Shomo '69. All seniors who contribute to the Class Gift will be listed in the 2013 Commencement Program.
- Rain Plan Should there be a threat of rain during the weekend, the following events will be moved indoors:
- Baccalaureate, Kirby Field House
- Senior reception, Tiger Inn
- Commencement Ceremony, Kirby Field House
- Commencement luncheon, Settle Hall
