Everton N. Batista '12
Everton is a member of the Student Body Senate, the Society of 1791 leadership program, the Pre-Business Society, the Garnet and Grey Society, the Soccer Club and the Rugby Club.  He is a periodical writer for The Hampden-Sydney Tiger, the school's newspaper. Everton majors in Economics and Commerce and truly enjoys the challenging classes and the great atmosphere at Hampden-Sydney College.  He loves the outdoors - rock climbing, swimming, hiking, running and many other activities.  He was born and raised in Brazil and he graduated from St. Stephens & St. Agnes High School.  He is trilingual (Portuguese, English and French).  Everton is in the process of acquiring an internship with UNICA in Washington D.C. this summer but status is still pending.

 

 

Ryan M. Carter '13
I am from Chester, Virginia where I graduated from Thomas Dale High School. At Hampden-Sydney, I am a double major in Economics and Psychology. I serve as a freshman RA, a peer mentor, and a writing center tutor. I also participate in the Society of '91 and play catcher for the baseball team. After graduation, I would like to enter the finance field and hopefully work on Wall Street one day. Graduate school for a MBA and a JD is also something that I would like to look into at some point, and I would like to attend a school in the northeast.
