Join us for Family Weekend September 19 & 20! This campus-wide event offers families a taste of the Hampden-Sydney College student experience.

FRIDAY, September 19

Join your son for class!
If you are interested in visiting a class with your son, ask him to talk to his professors to make the necessary arrangements. Space may be limited.

The faculty and staff of the Wilson Center invite you to come by the Center for an open house.  Refreshments will be served.  Students from the Center's programs will be on hand to answer questions.  The Wilson Center oversees leadership, public service, and civic education programs for Hampden-Sydney students, faculty, staff, and alumni; area high school teachers and students; and a variety of community and national educational organizations.

Balfour & Beau Bows
11 am - 3 pm, A representative from Balfour will be on campus to take measurements, and assist students and parents with class ring orders.  Beau Bows will have a display of handmade cotton bow ties for the southern gentleman.

The Bortz Library is Open
12 noon - 1 am
Please plan to visit the Bortz Library while you are on campus. The library is open from 9 am to 5 pm on Saturday and from noon to 1 am on Sunday. Make sure you see the fourth floor where the Celestial Planisphere is installed in the interior of the cupola and the breathtaking Spalding Collection of maps of the Chesapeake Bay area, with examples ranging from the 16th to the 19th centuries. Browse our third floor stack area and take advantage of the many reading nooks that exist on each floor. Do you need a computer to check e-mails? There are 18 computers available for your use on the main floor or bring in your laptop to our wireless building. We hope you enjoy your time on campus and welcome you to our Library.
