Family Weekend is a time for families to experience the Tiger spirit that embraces our students on campus throughout the academic year. This weekend of fun-filled events offers you a taste of the true Hampden-Sydney College student experience as we showcase our academic excellence and welcome you into our vibrant community.

If you are interested in visiting a class with your son, ask him to talk to his professors to make necessary arrangements. Space may be limited.

A representative from Balfour will be on campus to take measurements, and assist students and parents with class ring orders.

The faculty and staff of the Wilson Center invite you to come by for refreshments and comradery. The Wilson Center oversees leadership, public service, and civic education programs for H-SC students, faculty, staff, and alumni; area high school teachers and students; and a variety of community and national education organizations.

12 noon - 1:00 a.m. - The Bortz Library is Open

Please plan to visit the Bortz Library while you are on campus. The library is open from 9am to 5pm on Saturday and from noon to 1am on Sunday. Make sure you see the fourth floor where the Celestial Planisphere is installed in the interior of the cupola, as well as the breathtaking Spalding Collection of maps of the Chesapeake Bay area, with examples ranging from the 16th to the 19th century. Browse our third floor stack area and take advantage of the many reading nooks that exist on each floor.

Do you need a computer to check e-mails? There are computers available for your use on the main floor or bring your own device and utilize our wireless building. We hope you enjoy your time on campus and welcome you to the Bortz Library.
