EDITOR-IN-CHIEF, TOWN & COUNTRY
Jay Fielden was named editor-in-chief of Town & Country magazine on March 1, 2011. Since joining the magazine, Fielden has reimagined the 167-year-old title into a warm and lively mix of the highest quality journalism, culture and fashion that embraces its history while reporting on of‑the‑moment issues of the day. Fielden also instituted the successful “Top 50” editorial series—“Top 50 Bachelors” and “Top 50 American Families”—garnered impressive media attention and contributed to the magazine’s positive momentum on the newsstand.
Before his appointment at Town & Country, Fielden was the editor-in-chief of Men’s Vogue from August 2005 to March 2009. After the magazine ceased publication, he served as a contributing editor at Vogue, where he had been arts editor since 2000. From 1992 to 2000, he held various editorial positions at The New Yorker.
