Letter from Chairman Ellis

 

I hope you have marked your calendar and plan to usher in spring with Founders Weekend, scheduled at The Ritz-Carlton in Charlotte, North Carolina. Now is your chance to join us for some fun and relaxation.

Plan to arrive on Friday to join fellow Founders in the Urban Garden for a brief welcome reception at 6 pm. On Saturday we will arrange golf at The Golf Club at Ballantyne for those who are interested.

We have arranged for tours at the Uptown Bechtler and Mint Museums and a cooking class at the Johnson & Wales University College of Culinary Arts. Others may want to relax in the Spa and Wellness Center at The Ritz-Carlton, or take a walk to Discovery Place or other suggested museums and attractions around town. Whatever your pleasure, you'll find it in Charlotte. On Saturday evening we will gather at The Ritz-Carlton for cocktails at 6 pm outside the Ballroom, followed by dinner in the Ballroom.

Please call The Ritz-Carlton reservations office at (800) 241-3333 at your earliest convenience to make your reservation in the Hampden-Sydney College block of rooms. A special room rate of $209 a night will be honored until February 29, 2012, or until rooms are no longer available. Please select the reservation link so we will know to expect you.
