The Office of Global Education provides programs and services for study abroad and international students, in support of the academic mission of the college and the principles of international education that enhance the learning environment.

Hampden-Sydney welcomes international students from around the world and offers study abroad opportunities for students with more than 100 programs in 30 countries.

Bringing the World into the Classroom



Hampden-Sydney in Poland at Warsaw School of Economics

Hampden-Sydney announces a new study abroad program designed for Economics and Business students.

Spend a semester studying international Entrepreneurship at the Warsaw School Economics while interning at a premier private equity firm in Warsaw, Poland. Earn 16 semester credits including the 3 credit H-SC Economics 395 Internship course and 13 credits through courses taught in English at the Warsaw School of Economics and the CIEE Center for Central European Studies. Selected students will have the opportunity to take advance level business courses as part of this program designed specifically for Hampden-Sydney students.

  • Eligibility: Juniors with a minimum GPA of 2.75 and approval of the chair of the H-SC Economics and Business Department.
  • Prerequisites: 9 credit hours of H-SC Economics and Business courses or the equivalent before the start of the internship.
  • Housing: Live in housing arranged by CIEE
  • Application Deadline: February 15th for Fall and September 15th for Spring
