Chemistry 103- Chemical Concepts in a Technological Society (3) Dr. Bill Anderson. (Satisfies core requirements) A topical study of the impact of the chemical practices of our technological culture on our society, with a concurrent examination of the philosophical basis on which scientific judgments can be soundly formed in societal applications. We will focus on the industrial production and international trade in many of the largest components of the global economy: glass, paper, fertilizers, polymers and so on. Dalian is the largest seaport in northern China and home to facilities of most of the Fortune 500 global chemical industries.
