Initial Contact

 

Next, we need to determine potential funders' interest in our program. In some cases, we can do this by making a few phone calls.  However, many funding agencies require a letter of inquiry. This is a "mini-proposal" which briefly outlines our project and inquires about the possibility of funding. The Office of Corporate & Foundation Relations will send preliminary inquiry letters, or make other preliminary contact with the funder.
