Hampden-Sydney College received a $50,000 grant from the Jessie Ball duPont Religious, Charitable and Educational Fund to support the development of a campus master facilities plan. With duPont's grant and contributions from generous donors, the College will update its existing campus plan, analyze current use of campus space, conduct basic energy studies, and formulate a strategy for addressing future campus facility needs.
The Jessie Ball duPont Fund is a national foundation that makes grants to a defined universe of organizations whose eligibility is determined exclusively by Mrs. duPont's personal philanthropic decisions. Through its funding to non-profit organizations, it seeks to strengthen the independent sector, build the assets of people, families, and communities, and build the capacity of eligible organizations.
