Hampden-Sydney College junior Erik Schafer recently presented his Summer Research Honors Project in a public presentation at the College. Erik is one of a select group of students who undertake summer research in conjunction with members of the Hampden-Sydney faculty. Each project is evaluated on its originality, on the thoroughness of its research methods, and on the quality of its findings.
Erik's project was entitled, "Musical rendering of Mathematical Objects." An applied mathematics and computer science major, he is a graduate of Fishburne Military School and is the son of Andy & Elke Schafer of Richmond.
