Hampden-Sydney College senior Matthew Vail recently presented his Summer Research Honors Project in a public presentation at the College. Matthew is one of a select group of students who undertake summer research in conjunction with members of the Hampden-Sydney faculty. Each project is evaluated on its originality, on the thoroughness of its research methods, and on the quality of its findings.
Matthew's project was entitled, "In the Lost Procession: Who Were the Fugitives." An English major, he is a graduate of William Byrd High School and is the son of Mr. & Mrs. Michael S. Vail of Roanoke.
