Hampden-Sydney College Class of 2011, Timothy I. Fisher presented his Departmental Honors Project recently in a public lecture at the College. Tim is one of a select group of seniors who undertook an extended research project which culminated in a public presentation. Although the departmental honors students are undergraduates, they are expected to pursue their research project at a graduate-school level. Each project is evaluated on its originality, on the thoroughness of its research methods, and on the quality of the final presentation.
Tim's Honor's project in Foreign Affairs was entitled "Chinese Foreign Aid in Africa: Should the United States Develop a More Visionary Aid Policy to Counter China's Expanding Influence in Africa?" A foreign affairs major, Tim is a graduate of Jefferson High School and is the son of Mr. & Mrs. Brent C. Fisher of Millville.
