The Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) Rivanna Station (near Charlottesville) has established a summer internship partnership with Hampden-Sydney College.
The mission of the DIA is to prevent strategic surprise and to deliver a decisive advantage to fighters, defense planners, and policy makers.
The Summer Internship Program targets students whose academic discipline, interest, and experience line up with specific missions and functions of the Rivanna Station location. The DIA workforces is as diverse as its mission involving skills which include public policy, international affairs, economics, physics, chemistry, world history, political science, bio-science, and computer science
Hampden-Sydney will send one intern to the 2012 Summer Internship Program, which runs from June through August.
