Lee King '94 New VP for Institutional Advancement

Dr. Lee KingDr. Herbert L. (Lee) King, Jr. '94 has accepted the position of Vice President for Institutional Advancement and will assume his duties on July 25.

He holds a B.S. in English and history from Hampden-Sydney College, a M.E. in education administration from Lynchburg College, and a Ph.D. in educational leadership from the University of Virginia. 

Dr. King was Vice President for External Relations at Hollins University.  He served for six years as Vice President for Institutional Advancement at Ferrum College and, prior to that, was Executive Director for the Patrick Henry Boys and Girls Plantation in Brookneal.

As Vice President for Institutional Advancement, Dr. King will be responsible for furthering and maintaining financial support from constituencies of the College, which include alumni, parents, friends, corporations, foundations, and government agencies.

Dr. King replaces C. Beeler Brush who has led the Institutional Advancement Office for 15 years and will continue to serve as Senior Major Gifts Officer.
