On November 20, the Dean of Students Office and the College Activities Committee organized a trip for 15 students to travel to Fedex Field to watch the Washington Redskins take on their archrival, the Dallas Cowboys. In order to earn one of the highly desired spots, students competed by entering into a contest on the social networking site Facebook.
With a 1:00 PM kickoff, the caravan of H-SC vehicles left the Hill in the early hours of Sunday morning in order to arrive shortly before the beginning of the game.
The rivalry became fierce between peers as the Redskins battled back to tie the game with 14 seconds left in the 4th quarter. Among the changing tide of emotions in overtime with Cowboys winning after a missed field goal by the Redskins, each student enjoyed the opportunity to spend time with their H-SC brothers away from the classroom and to see a football game on the largest stage in the NFL.
