Cabell Foundation Issues $150K Challenge

The Cabell Foundationof Richmond has awarded a $150,000 challenge grant to Hampden-Sydney College toward the Igniting Sound Learning campaign to upgrade classrooms and teaching technology. The grant challenges alumni and friends of the College to contribute $300,000 for the project by June 2013 in order for the College to receive the $150,000 award from the Foundation. All new gifts designated for the Igniting Sound Learning campaign will count toward the $300,000 goal. 

The Robert G. Cabell III and Maude Morgan Cabell Foundation was established in 1957 by Mr. & Mrs. Robert G. Cabell, III, of Richmond, Virginia, as a private charitable foundation. Its purpose is to provide financial support for capital projects for organizations in the Commonwealth of Virginia which are exempt from taxation under the Internal Revenue Code; preference is given to qualifying organizations in the Richmond area.
