On Thursday, November 29, Stuart A. Kessler will speak at Hampden-Sydney College on the topic, "Experiencing Architecture: Understanding the Built Environment."
Kessler is an award winning architect and planner who has designed and developed buildings and communities throughout the nation and abroad. Among the best known are Washington Square Village, a 1,600 apartment mixed use development in New York City and the revitalization of Sigtuna Kommun, ancient capital of Sweden. His work has been featured on PBS, NBC, and in Progressive Architecture, Architectural Record, The New York Times, and other publications.
Sponsored by the H-SC Architectural Society and the Department of Fine Arts, Kessler's talk will begin at 4:30 PM in the Parents & Friends Lounge in Venable Hall. This event is free and open to the community.
