Military Historian Speaks at H-SC 4/5

Edward LengelOn Thursday, April 5, military historian Edward G. Lengel will speak at Hampden-Sydney on, "George Washington: Soldier and Leader."  Lengel is a professor at the University of Virginia and is Editor-in-Chief of the Papers of George Washington documentary editing project.

The author of several books, including General George Washington: A Military Life, he is a frequent public speaker on Washington and the Revolutionary War as well as an historical consultant for television documentaries, including an 8-hour documentary by the History Channel. He has appeared frequently on television and radio (including The History Channel, C-Span, CBS, and NPR), and has been interviewed by newspapers such as The Washington Post and The Christian Science Monitor.
