Creating H-S Virginia Tourism Guide
April 20, 2012
Looking for a great place to visit this summer? Look no further than Hampden-Sydney.
The Record of Hampden-Sydney Collegeis creating Hampden-Sydney's Virginia Tourism Guide, and we need your help finding all of the alumni-owned restaurants, B&Bs, golf courses, and other kinds of tourist destinations in the Commonwealth.
Helping one another had long been a staple of the relationships among Hampden-Sydney alumni, and traveling around the Old Dominion is a wonderful way to spend a summer day. Hampden-Sydney's Virginia Tourism Guide will help you find a business owned or operated by a fellow alumnus. As information comes in, we will add destinations to a Google Map that can be accessed through your computer or web-connected mobile device. We are also writing an accompanying article for the alumni magazine, but we need your help finding them all.
So many alumni have created successful businesses in Virginia; businesses that often rely on out-of-town visitors. From Peggy and Dudley Patteson '71 at The Hope and Glory Inn in Irvington to Shelby and John Higgs '61 at Barren Ridge Vineyards in Fishersville, there are so many places that make Virginia special. Help us find them all to share with our fellow Tigers.
E-mail John Dudley '95 (email@example.com), the editor of The Record, with your suggestions.
