Over the Christmas break, renovation began on the North Dining Room on the main floor of Settle Hall to create an expanded serving area for Pannill Commons. The new serving area contains the deli and the salad bar. The main serving area has been repurposed.
The expanded deli features freshly baked bread, premium meats, and popular cheeses. Students feel as if they stepped into an old world bakery. For the salad bar the key word is choices. The renovation allows additional toppings, two soups, and more composed salads as well as locally grown produce.
When students turn the corner and enter the main serving area, they are hit with the "WOW" effect. The former salad bar has been transformed into a display of assorted homemade desserts prepared by Pastry Chef Washington Torres.
The fresh grill is everyone's favorite dining destination and the renovations now allow us to offer a minimum of three grilled options daily.
In additons to the expanded serving area, Thompson Hospitality is offering expanded services.
Dine-n-Dish Program: Two times per month, Thompson staff will bring pizzas to a designated dorm and "dish" with students to solicit their suggestions and concerns.
