H-SC and LU Sign Mutual Aid Agreement

On August 15, the Cheifs of Police at H-SC and LU met on campus and signed a Mutual Aid Agreement (MAA).

The Code of Virginia authorizes institutions of higher learning having a police force to enter into reciprocal agreements for mutual aid for emergency purposes, for maintenance of peace and good order and for cooperation in the furnishing of law enforcement services.  The H-SC-LU MAA enables the provision of law enforcement aid across jurisdictional lines to increase both institutions' ability to maintain peace and good order and preserve the safety and welfare of the entire area.

 Dr. Howard also presented President Conelly with a Hampden-Sydney Mug and copy of "On This Hill."
