Dr. Howard Visits Virginia Tech

On December 6, President Chris Howard traveled to Blacksburg, VA to address students at Virginia Tech and meet with serveral University administrators. While at Tech, Dr. Howard addressed the Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets about leadership, characters, and the "Five Be's" at their winter graduation. Dr. Howard also met with Virginia Tech President Charles W. Steger and discussed the importance of teaching leadership and chracter, the importance of the liberal arts, and the cost of tuition in Virginia. Later that day President Howard met with Associate Dean of Academic of the College of Engineering Affairs Bevlee Watford and exchanged ideas about the possibility of a partnership between H-SC and VT in the VT School of Engineering.

 

         

Dr. Howard presented President Steger with a portait of Joseph D. Eggleston, H-SC Class of 1886, former President of Hampden-Sydney and Virginia Tech.
