Gene Hickok '72 Vists With President Howard

On Wednesday, September 5th Gene Hickock '72 former Deputy Secretary of Education under President George W. Bush visited campus and met with Dr. Howard. While on campus, Dr. Howard and Dr. Hickock discussed the state of higher education and the recent progress the College has made on acheiving the goals outlined in the strategic plan "H-SC 20/20." Dr. Hickok taught Political Science at Dickinson College for 15 years, and while serving as Deputy Secretary for Education he was responsible for building and implementing the No Child Left Behind Act.
