Vehicle Regulations

Vehicles may be registered at the Department of Security and Police. You must register your vehicle within 48 hours after it is brought to campus. Should you change your residence and it results in a change in parking zones, you must get a new registration decal.

ZONE PARKING

During the hours of 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday thru Thursday, and from 7:00 AM to 1:30 PM on Fridays, students are to park in assigned areas, generally near their residences. Any vehicle may be parked in any legitimate parking area on Saturdays and Sundays (except during certain special events, in which case prohibited areas will be marked with temporary signs). The zone parking plan is also in effect during examination periods.

Parking in front of Fire Hydrants and in Fire Lanes is strictly prohibited at all times. Vehicles parked at these locations are subject to be ticketed and towed at the owner's expense.

On weekdays after 5:00 PM and on weekends, it is acceptable for students and visitors to park in marked spaces in the Admissions and Post Office parking lots. However, parking behind the Post Office / Graham Hall and on the Tiger Inn access road is strictly prohibited at all times. Provisions can be made in these locations for Handicapped Parking with proper authorization.
Handicapped Parking spaces, at all times, are for those who are duly authorized to use them.

SPEED LIMITS

 gangster 1icon The speed limit for College Road, Via Sacra, and Atkinson Avenue is 25 mph. For all other campus roads and parking areas, the speed limit is 15 mph. The Department of Security and Police utilizes RADAR in order to enforce speed limits and to provide a safe campus community.
