Your adventure at Hampden-Sydney College is about to begin!
New Student Orientation 2013 (August 23-26) will not only connect you with your classmates and the greater Hampden-Sydney community, but also provide you with information about how to succeed in college. You will have the opportunity to explore our academic program, begin building a relationship with your academic advisor, and learn about the resources available to help you on your journey. You will also have opportunities to meet other new and current students, discover our many student-led clubs and organizations, and explore our beloved campus through friendly competition and social events. You will find that here at Hampden-Sydney you are not just "at college;" you are involved in a community that challenges you to become the best man you can be.
Please keep in mind that Orientation is required for all of our new students, both freshmen and transfers. You can find the schedule for Matriculation Day (Friday, August 23rd) below. The student Orientation Planning Committee is hard at work planning Saturday, August 24th through Monday, August 26th, and details will be posted here as soon as the schedules for those days are finalized.
In the meantime, if you need more information, feel free to contact me or Taylor Redmond '14, Orientation Chairman. You are about to begin an extraordinary and very important chapter of your lives. We wish you success and encourage you to take full advantage of all that the College has to offer.
