The Intercultural Affairs Committee is appointed by the President of Hamden-Sydney College. Besides the responsibilities and activities in the Statement of Purpose, the Committee discusses and forwards, sometimes with recommendations, to the appropriate administrator or faculty committee matters brought to its attention that touch upon the life of the Hampden-Sydney Community - students, faculty, staff - in regard to respect for and acceptance of minorities, both as individuals and as groups, as defined defined by race, gender, religion, disability, or sexual orientation. 

The Birthplace
"The Birthplace" The Founders of Hampden-Sydney College met in this building in 1775 and established the College's mission "to form good men and good citizens."
Any member of the Hampden-Sydney Community who has a concern which falls within the scope of the Committee should feel free to contact a member of the Committee.
