On Tuesday, April 4, a presentation of "Ancient Classical Dance Form of India" will be performed at Hampden-Sydney College by Padma Rasiah Cantu.  This program is a dance showcase of Indian mythology through a delightful form of theatrical entertainment including colorful costumes, sparkling jewelry, and ankle bells.

Netane Polynesian Productions, Inc., a six member Hawaiian/Polynesian group, will be here to share the rich and unique culture of this exotic paradise.  Indigenous musicians and hula dancers are all talented, experienced performers, and exhaustively trained in the music and dance of Polynesian cultures. The highlights of the varied, fast-moving show are the fire dances and audience participation.   

April 18, 2002

Dr. Franklin Odo and company will give a presentation on issues facing Asian Americans. Dr. Odo is the Director of the Smithsonian Asian Pacific American Studies Program at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, D.C.
