Spiritual Life

On behalf of Chaplain's Office...

Welcome to Hampden-Sydney College!

David Keck with President Howard Hampden-Sydney College welcomes students of all faiths and cultures.

The mission of the chaplain's office is to help you discern your calling. "Who am I, and what am I supposed to be doing with my life?" Answering those fundamental questions requires that we learn more about the living God Who created us, more about the gifts and graces we've received from God, more about what God hopes for our lives, more about the mystery of human freedom that allows us to respond to God.

There are many people here at Hampden-Sydney who are eager to help you reflect on who you are supposed to be. Here in this section of the website you will find information on our terrific campus ministers as well as various local religious communities. You are always welcome to come by my office in the basement of College Church or to join us in worship on Sunday morning at College Church.

To help you get started in your reflection process, I offer the following set of questions for you to consider with some of the folks here at H-SC. Faculty, staff, coaches, campus ministers - we are here because we recognize that these are questions we need to wrestle with if we are to be truly human.

~ Reverend Dr. David Keck
