Abusive Calls

Students, if you receive abusive, annoying, obscene, or harassing calls, notify the Office of the Dean of Students at Hampden-Sydney College, NOT the local telephone company.

Fraudulent Use of the Telephone System:

Hampden-Sydney College reserves the right to prosecute anyone who abuses and/or fraudulently uses telecommunications services. This includes obtaining, attempting to obtain, or assisting another to obtain, long-distance message service by rearranging, tampering with, or making unauthorized connections with the intent to avoid payment of the regular charge for such services. SINCE YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR OWN AUTHORIZATION CODE, PROTECT YOURSELF FROM FRAUDULENT USE BY NOT SHARING IT WITH OTHERS. The procedure for reporting the loss of your code is explained previously.
