Lt. General Samuel V. Wilson, former Director of the Defense Intelligence Agency, shared his assessment of the policies and practices of the Russian government under Vladimir Putin to a rapt audience of 120.

The program covered the poisoning of Litvinenko, along with other recent highly publicized events. General Wilson drew from his own extensive experience in the U.S. intelligence arena.

Wilson was joined by Dr. James Simms, Elliott Professor of History and Coordinator of the Military Leadership/National Security Studies Program, for this timely presentation. Dr. Simms provided the complex historical context for General Wilson's observations on Russia's failed experiment with democracy. Introductory remarks were made by Dr. David Marion.
