2012 Pre-Orientation Workshop for the Freshmen Leadership Program

Congratulations to the following freshmen who have been accepted into the Freshmen Leadership Program.  The program will kick off the school year with a two-day workshop with sessions that range from leadership opportunities on campus to a viewing of Black Hawk Down followed by discussions with Lt. General William Boykin and Lt. General Samuel Wilson.  On Friday, Dr. Curt Smith will lead a simulation exercise based on a Harvard case study of a tragic expedition to Mt. Everest in 1996.  Throughout the school year, students enrolled in the program will take part in a series of seminars, workshops and special events.  Freshmen who complete the program will receive a certificate that will also be added to their school transcripts.
