ML/NSS Update

James Y. Simms Award

Just a brief update on the award that is presented to the outstanding graduating student in the Military Leadership and National Security Studies Program.  Due to the generosity of the H-SC alumni and friends, the endowment for the award as of the end of 2011 stands at just under $8000.  We have a goal of $10,000 - a figure determined by the college based on established administrative requirements pertaining to a minimum level for an endowment.  Once we reach the $10,000, we will be able to use the funds generated towards a monetary award and funding for the ML/NSS program.
