Kevin Turner '03
Chief Deputy Attorney General of Alabama

 
Kevin L. Turner was appointed Chief Deputy Attorney General of Alabama on January 1, 2012. He serves as the principal adviser to Alabama Attorney General Luther Strange on all legal and administrative matters and is responsible for overseeing the operations of the office. Before his appointment as Chief Deputy Attorney General, Turner served as Special Deputy Attorney General and Chief Counsel.  Prior to government service, Turner practiced law with Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP in Birmingham, Alabama.


Turner is a summa cum laude graduate of the University of Alabama School of Law. While in law school, he served as Acquisitions Editor for the Alabama Law Review. He also holds a M.B.A. from the University of Alabama. Turner graduated summa cum laude from Hampden-Sydney College in 2003 with a bachelor's degree in Political Science and Economics.  He currently serves on the College's Board of Trustees.
