Books

Books are checked out at the circulation desks located on the second and first floor. Hampden-Sydney students may check out books from the circulating collection for four weeks. Hampden-Sydney faculty and staff may check out books for one semester. Patrons not affiliated with Hampden-Sydney College may borrow books for four weeks if they have a valid Virginia driver's license or DMV-issued identification card, or current identification card from Longwood University or other Virginia college or university.

A fine of five cents per day is charged for each overdue book. A fine of twenty-five cents per hour will be charged for overdue reserve books. The borrower is responsible for damage to books and/or the replacement of lost books.

Non-Print Media

The non-print collection is checked out at the service desk in the Fuqua International Communications Center on the first floor.

Most resources in the Center may be checked out for three or five days. Borrowing privileges generally are restricted to Hampden-Sydney faculty, staff and students. Overdue fines are $1.00 per day per item.
