The Classroom and Beyond: Educating the Third Century of Good Men and Good Citizens

Since 1775, the College's mission has remained the same: to form good men and good citizens in an atmosphere of sound learning. Join us this June as we explore how a Hampden-Sydney education has changed in response to new technologies, new historical circumstances, and new generations of students. Unearth the history buried beneath the College's grounds, discuss the challenges of education in the 20th and 21st centuries, and discover the new forms of hands-on learning that are now invigorating the H-SC experience. Through a variety of presentations, panels, and active-learning opportunities, we will explore our rich legacy, our current innovations, and the challenges for our future.  Join fellow alumni as the classes of 1968, 1973, 1978, 1983, 1988, 1993, 2008, 2013 return to celebrate their class reunions.  These events are an opportunity to connect with Hampden-Sydney friends, relive college memories and get a firsthand look at what is happening on campus today.
