Baseball Tigers Picked Sixth in ODAC Preseason Poll
(February 8, 2010) SALEM, VA--Returning after a 20-19 season and one game short of an appearance in the conference championship game, Hampden-Sydney has been selected to finish sixth in the 2010 Old Dominion Athletic Conference Preseason Poll. This season, the Tigers will use a mix of veterans and new comers with their 36-man roster in hopes of capturing the program's third ODAC Championship. Last season, Hampden-Sydney finished 20-19 overall with a 10-8 conference mark before taking a tough 11-10 loss to two-seeded Virginia Wesleyan. Though the Tigers lose key players from last year in Evan Rogers, Luke Swiney and Hall Toledano, seventh year Head Coach Jeff Kinne will have the majority of his 2009 major contributors back.
