(July 14, 2010) NEWPORT NEWS, VA--From start to finish Hampden-Sydney athletics had an outstanding year with not one losing record, compiling an overall record of 90-37-1 (70.3%) between football, soccer, basketball, baseball, lacrosse and tennis. Hampden-Sydney's winning percentage was the best in the men's division in the recent Virginia Sports Information Directors Association College Division All-Sports Survey. The survey ranks all 27 non-NCAA Division I schools in the state by overall winning percentage. While winning the men's division, the Tigers finished second overall, trailing behind Christopher Newport, which won 72% of all of its contests.
