CRAVER COMPETES IN SOUTH/SOUTHEAST REGIONAL

GREENSBORO, NC (November 14, 2009)—Hampden-Sydney cross country freshman Andrew Craver (East Bend, NC/Forbush) competed this past weekend at the 2009 NCAA South/Southeast Regional Championships, finishing in 133rd place with a time of 32:03.  The mud-soaked race was won by Lynchburg's Ricky Flynn, who came in with a time of 26:10.  Emory University won the event, finishing with just 33 points.

Said Head Coach David Hodge, Andrew capped off a tremendous rookie campaign with a strong showing at Regionals, going up again some of the best runners in the nation.  I will be looking to him next year to be one of our leaders and help our team improve.”
