Head Cross Country Coach

Ricky Talman

Ricky Talman is in his first season as Hampden-Sydney head cross country coach. A 2007 graduate of West Virginia University with a degree in Sport Management, Talman currently pulls double-duty as the Assistant Fitness Director of Tiger Recreation in addition to his new coaching post.

During his academic career at West Virginia, Talman was an active member of the Sport Management Club while also participating in several intramural sports, including flag football, basketball and soccer.

Prior to joining the TigerRec staff, Talman worked as the game day operations intern for the Richmond Kickers Soccer Club, helping with game promotions, ticket sales and the overall production of the live sporting events.

Talman continues to stay active athletically and currently plays in the premier division of the Central Virginia Soccer Association adult soccer league in Richmond.

A native of Richmond, VA, Talman currently resides in Farmville.
