GRADUATE & PROFESSIONAL SCHOOL
Deciding to enter into a graduate or professional program can be a very
rewarding experience. Approximately 30% of a given graduating class at
Hampden-Sydney will pursue graduate studies within one year; 55% in five years.
Popular programs of study include
medicine, law, business, public policy, education, sciences and theology.
If you are considering additional schooling, it is recommended that you begin
your research early as students in certain academic disciplines may be required
to have related course work or work experience before an application can be
considered. Students interested in the medical profession, specifically,
need the relevant science course work; students interested in pursuing an MBA
are often required to have several years of work experience to meet application
