"You can do anything with a degree from Hampden-Sydney"

GRADUATE & PROFESSIONAL SCHOOL

Deciding to enter into a graduate or professional program can be a very rewarding experience.  Approximately 30% of a given graduating class at Hampden-Sydney will pursue graduate studies within one year; 55% in five years. Popular programs of study include medicine, law, business, public policy, education, sciences and theology.

If you are considering additional schooling, it is recommended that you begin your research early as students in certain academic disciplines may be required to have related course work or work experience before an application can be considered.  Students interested in the medical profession, specifically, need the relevant science course work; students interested in pursuing an MBA are often required to have several years of work experience to meet application requirements.  Here's a link to a basic timeline for the process of getting into graduate school: Peterson's
