Hampden-Sydney Fund Gifts

Ways To Make Your
Hampden-Sydney Fund Gift

Mail — To send in your gift or pledge, make your check payable to Hampden-Sydney College, and send it to the Hampden-Sydney Fund, Box 637, Hampden-Sydney, VA 23943.


Stock Gifts — Giving appreciated stock may be more advantageous than giving cash. Federal tax law offers special incentives for gifts of non-cash property. To make a gift of appreciated securities, call the Office of Institutional Advancement at (800) 865-1776.
 

Matching gift — Check with your (and your spouse’s) employer to see if they are a matching gift company. You receive credit in our giving societies for any matching gift. All you need to do is send us the matching-gift form from your company’s Human Resources department.
 

Automatic debit — To have your VISA, MasterCard, or American Express debited monthly, call our office toll-free at (800) 865-1776 or use the online gift form.

  • Slate Hill Society:     $25,000 or more
  • Cushing Society:      $12,500 - $24,999.
  • Venable Society:       $7,000 - $12,499.
  • Atkinson Society:      $3,500 - $6,999.
  • Chalgrove Society:   $2,500 - $3,499
  • Cabell Society:          $1,500 - $2,499.
  • In addition, there are 3 levels for graduates 10 years out or less:
    • Gammon Young Founders Society:
      $250 -  499 — For alumni 1 - 3 years out
      $500 -  749 — For alumni 4 - 6 years out
      $750 -1499 — For alumni 7 -10 years out
GIVING CLUBS
  • Tiger Club:  $625 – $1,249.
  • Hill Club:     $450 – $624.
  • Second Century Club:   $225 – $449.
