Hampden-Sydney College collaborates with community organizations and Dominion Energy to donate firewood from storm-damaged trees to local churches and families.

pile of wood and chopped firewoodLast month, Hampden-Sydney reported on the violent winds from Hurricane Michael that left damage to many wonderful old trees on campus. NBC 12 just followed up on that story reporting how the College, with help from Dominion Power and other volunteers, turned our loss into an opportunity to help those in need.
