- 96th among liberal arts colleges nationally in U.S. News & World Report-a 9-place jump from the previous year

Campus Improvements and Updates
- A $1 million gift establishes the Flemming Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
- H-SC receives a $4 million grant from the Carpenter Foundation to support financial aid.
- Bill '72 and Shireen Kirk give $4 million to support H-SC's athletic endowment.
- The Brown Student Center becomes the new hub of campus life.

- The Tiger lacrosse team wins an ODAC championship, sending the team to a NCAA tournament.
